Check out what Abby had to say about dancing, how it has changed her life and find out what she's up to now.
1. How did your experience being MADE change you as a person?
My experience on MADE made me realize that I don't always have to be reserved and do what is expected of me all the time. I've always been a goofball, and I can act that way a little bit more if I want to.
2. How have your friends reacted to you being MADE?
Everyone is still pretty blown away. It's not every day that you know someone on MADE. I know that if one of my friends were on MADE I would be so excited too. Everyone is very enthusiastic and it’s good knowing I have all that support!
3. If you could change one thing you said or did during MADE, what would it be?
I am not really sure. I try not to get in positions where I do or say things I regret. I haven't seen the show yet though, so I bet once I do, there might be something!
4. What are you up to now?
Now I am starting to get back to fencing a lot more since I was sort of on a hiatus during dancing. Overall, I am really enjoying my senior year, despite the fact that my daily to-do list is a monster. First semester is a little rough, but I am doing alright, so no worries at all.
5. What was the hardest part about being MADE? Did you ever want to give up?
The hardest part was talking so much. I am not very superfluous with my words, so it was difficult for me to talk so much about little things like...why I use G2 pens or why I have my folders the way they are. They are things I normally just do, but without much explaining to accompany it. I never wanted to give up the dancing at all. I don't think that giving up on such a large opportunity, or any opportunity rather, is really part of my nature.
6. Will you miss your coach?
I will miss Cedric so much. I already do miss him. I was missing him just thinking about the show ending. It took so much not to cry when I was saying goodbye to him. He is simply a spectacular individual.
7. Tell us one thing you learned about yourself while being MADE.
I learned that I have a "Bad Girl" inside of me. Nope, just kidding. I learned I need to loosen up--I can be very closed off from the world sometimes.
8. How did it feel to have cameras following you around at all times?
Ah yes, going into it, I was awfully conceited and thought that it wouldn't bother me, but it definitely got irritating. I loved Lynn, the producer, but it got a little annoying saying things like, "Well, now I am going to brush my teeth because it is the first day of school." It felt weird explaining everything I did over and over again.
9. What advice can you give to kids who have a dream but don't know how to reach it?
I really do believe that anyone can do anything if they want it badly enough. You just have to have the confidence to know you can do it, no matter what people say--even if it IS your coach, who SHOULD be supporting you!
10. What's one word would you use to describe your experiences on MADE?
